The
Education Channel is Baltimore County Public School's own award winning
cable television station. We reach all of the public schools in Baltimore
County, touching over 100,000 students and 15,000 employees. In addition,
we broadcast on Comcast Cable channel 73 and Verizon FIOS channel 35
reaching 200,000 homes and businesses 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The
21st century is here, and The Education Channel is ready for it! Interactive
instructional programming, school based video-on-demand, interactive
DVDs, and live telecasts are the newest in technology and are just
a few of the amazing capabilities of The Education Channel.
We
have been gaining experience since 1983 and serve the instructional
and informational needs of the students, educators, and citizens of
Baltimore County. To meet these needs, we provide original taped programming,
commercial satellite downlinks, and live interactive programs. We involve
students, staff, and stakeholders in our shows, providing a learning
experience on both sides of our productions.
